What Is APPLE.COM/BILL on My Bank Statement?
APPLE.COM/BILL is a purchase made through Apple — an App Store app, iCloud storage, Apple Music or TV, an in-app purchase, or an auto-renewing subscription. The descriptor is the same whatever you bought, which is why it's so often a mystery.

Why you might not recognise it
Three very common explanations:
- An auto-renewing subscription you forgot about — these renew silently, often annually.
- iCloud storage, typically a small monthly amount once you pass the free tier.
- Family Sharing — purchases by anyone in your family group are billed to the organiser's payment method, so a child's game purchase lands on your statement.
How to see exactly what it was
Sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com, or on your device open Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → Purchase History. You'll see each item, the date and the amount.
To stop future charges, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions and cancel the one you don't want. Cancelling stops the renewal; it doesn't usually refund the charge you've already had.
What if you don't recognise it?
Don't panic, but don't ignore it either. Work through this order:
- Check who else uses the card — a partner, or a child on a family account, is the most common explanation.
- Look for a matching subscription or order in the relevant app or account.
- Search the exact descriptor as it appears, including any * or reference number.
- Still unexplained? Contact your bank straight away. Report it as an unrecognised transaction — under UK rules you're generally protected against unauthorised payments, and your bank can freeze the card and investigate.
Never phone a number that appears in the transaction itself, and never share a one-time passcode with anyone who calls you — including someone claiming to be your bank.
